Anderson County Takes a Stand Against Bullying

Multiple agencies across Anderson County today have proclaimed that October 2019 is Bullying Prevention Month as a way to take a stand against bullying.

Gathering at the Anderson Public Library, Judge Executive Orbrey Gritton, Lawrenceburg Mayor Troy Young, Anderson County Schools Superintendent Sheila Mitchell, Library Director Pam Marks, and Anderson County Agency for Substance Abuse Policy Board Chairman Justin Silverman signed a proclamation to declare October as Bullying Prevention Month to align with national efforts.

In addition, members of the Saving Our Students Youth Coalition from the Anderson County High School were present along with school board member Peggy Peach and AC-ASAP Coordinator Donna Drury.  State Representative James Tipton also included a special citation from the Kentucky House of Representatives showing support for the effort.
