Anderson Public Library Now Offers Free British TV Streaming

The Anderson Public Library, in partnership with Recorded Books (Prince Frederick, MD), now offers British TV and film service, called Acorn TV.

Hailed as a “glorious streaming service … an essential must-have” by The Hollywood Reporter, Acorn TV streams world-class mysteries, dramas, and comedies from Britain and beyond, including a full slate of original and exclusive programming. Just like Netflix, you can binge-watch popular shows like Doc Martin, Midsomer Murders, Inspector George Gently, Vera, Murdoch Mysteries, and more. With thousands of hours of commercial-free programming and new shows added weekly, there’s always something to watch.

Acorn TV can be enjoyed on your mobile devices through the RBdigital app, as well as desktop computers by clicking here or by going to the Digital Resources page under Library Resources menu. To start watching for free, members of the library will need to register by clicking the register link on the Acorn TV and setup an account using an APL library card number.  A maximum of 10 users may use the service per week.
