Did you know that you can have your legal documents notarized for free at the Anderson Public Library? A number of our staff members are official Notary Publics and are available throughout the week.
Appointments aren’t necessary but calling the library at 502-839-6420 ahead of visiting the library is recommended to make sure a notary is available. Notary services are available from Monday through Friday from 9am to 5pm, and extended hours may be available if calling ahead.
To have your documents notarized, be sure to bring current and valid photo identifications for everyone signing the documents. You’ll also need to make sure that the documents have not yet been signed as they need to be signed in front of the library notary.
Most documents can be notarized, but there are a few exceptions. Titles, wills, living wills, and depositions cannot be notarized at the library. For a full list of notary guidelines, please click here.
