The Anderson Public Library is pleased to announce a brand new self checkout system for members to conveniently checkout books at the library.
The system, which became available to use by members this week, will complement the current checkout method at the main circulation desk. It adds an option for members for added convenience. “It’s a great time saver for library members,” director of the library, Pam Marks, said.
Self checkout is also easy to use. All members need to do is scan the barcode on the back of their library cards, scan the books to be checked out, and then just scan a finish barcode posted at the system. Staff members are also available if help is needed.
All available books can be checked out through the new system. However, DVDs and other items will need to be checked out through the main circulation desk.
