As the COVID-19 pandemic continues to develop, the Anderson Public Library continues to put the health and safety of the community and its staff as its highest priority. With a growing number of cases in Anderson County, the library can no longer ensure this safety.
Following guidance from the state and local health officials, the library’s board of trustees has made the decision to close public access to the library building, starting Monday, November 16th. This decision will be evaluated weekly in cooperation with the Anderson County Health Department to see if conditions allow for the safe reopening of the building.
Although library members will not be able to enter the building, they will still be able to checkout items through the library’s contactless curbside pickup service. The library’s many digital resources are also still available and can be accessed here.
Please continue to watch the library’s website and Facebook page for further updates. Administrators are continuing to track the situation and will update the public when additional information is available.
