Memory Lab Launches at the Library

Do you have stacks of old photos, VHS tapes, or audio cassettes of priceless life events? With a very generous donation from the Friends of the Anderson Public Library, the library is pleased to announce the availability of the new Memory Lab.

The Memory Lab, which extends the capability of the Maker Space Studio, allows library members to transfer old analog formats to digital.  These include very popular past formats like VHS, photographic slides, 8mm/Super 8 home movies, and much more.  By being able to scan or transfer these formats, members will be able to preserve the data and memories contained within them as well as enjoy them on modern equipment.

Use of the Memory Lab is free with a library card in good standing.  Members will be able to reserve the lab for 3 hours per week depending on availability.  All reservation requests must be made by clicking here and filling out the form.  The lab will be initially available only on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays from 9am to 5pm.
