After finishing up construction last month at Main Street for the expansion project, the Anderson Public Library has continued moving back at a fast pace. Officially closing December 1st to start the move, the staff of the library, along with a number of volunteers and movers, have worked diligently packing, moving, and unpacking thousands of books and numerous pieces of furniture and shelving units.
The main adult collection has seen a major transformation this week with tables, chairs, and book shelves set in place. Library staff members have also begun setting up the children’s area and started unpacking items for the new Kentucky/Anderson County History Room.
As progress continues, a reopening date will soon be announced. Check back for more details in the near future.
