Star Wars Display Returns for May the Fourth Day

With such a great success last year, the Anderson Public Library invited local Star Wars memorabilia collector, Jason Willis, to display part of his collection again this year in celebration of Star Wars Day, also known as May the Fourth Day.

The new display, which is located in the library’s display case near the parking lot entrance, features a completely new set of items.  According to Jason, the new display features a number of highly collectible items from completely restored vintage toys to more recent productions.

Jason is one of only a few collectors in Anderson County, and he is an active member of the Kentucky Star Wars Collector Club.  The club, which is a non-profit organization, helps promote Star Wars to younger generations as well as serves as a way for collectors to buy, sell, or trade items.  The club is open to the public and more information on it can be found here.

His collection will be on display through the month of May.  Jason explained that having a public display of part of his collection was a dream of his so it can show to others what he and many others grew up with back in the 1980s.
